Block Model Manager 2.0

Block Model Manager 2.0: Strengthening security and control in Block Model Management

Block Model Manager 2.0 introduces key updates focused on enhanced security and audit capabilities, designed to meet the evolving data management and data science needs of mining professionals handling large amounts of critical block model data.

User-based security with identity management

Managing access to block models is streamlined and secure with the new identity management module. By integrating with your Windows’ user account, access permissions are assigned based on roles, ensuring that only authorized users can view or modify block models. This prevents unauthorized actions that could compromise data integrity.

Upon launching the Block Model Manager, users will log in with a secure, authenticated session. Permissions are tied to specific roles or projects, giving users access to the models within their scope. Clear alerts will notify users if they attempt to modify data that they don’t have permission to change

New model locking feature for critical estimation phases

For times when data integrity is paramount—such as during resource estimation or end-of-period reconciliation—the new model locking feature ensures that no unwanted changes are made. Users can now lock models, preventing edits until the lock is lifted by an authorized user. A lock icon will clearly indicate when a model is protected, adding peace of mind during high stakes reporting phases.

Comprehensive audit trail for improved oversight

Accountability is critical when managing block models, and the improved audit trail captures a detailed log of all key actions. This includes model creation, deletion, block attribute value modifications, along with the user responsible, date, time, and specific actions performed.

The audit trail will be vital in correcting mistakes made in the modelling phase. Information can be reviewed to trace the source of bad changes made during the lifecycle of a model. With the version control capability of Block Model Manager, you will be able to revert to a previous version of the model that you have more trust in.

Upgrade today and secure your block model workflows

With Block Model Manager 2.0, you gain enhanced control, security, and accountability, empowering you to manage your block model data more effectively during critical estimation and reporting phases.

MinePlan 3D 16.3.0

Unlocking enhanced plotting with MinePlan 3D 16.3.0: New PDF driver for precision

We’re excited to introduce a powerful update in MinePlan 3D 16.3.0—the addition of a new PDF driver within the Plot Layout tool. This new driver significantly enhances the resolution and page size options when compared to the standard Microsoft Print to PDF driver, providing clearer and more detailed outputs.

For users who rely on accurate plotting of geometry and critical instructions, this improvement delivers the fidelity your staff needs. Whether it’s for ore control planners, surveyors, or engineers, this higher resolution ensures that the data you share maintains the detail required for critical decision-making.

Say goodbye to low-resolution prints and enjoy enhanced clarity in every plotted document. Update to MinePlan 3D 16.3.0 and experience this boost in quality.

MinePlan Activity Scheduler and Planner 6.9

Introducing the MPAS/Planner Exporter

Streamline organizing and sharing MPAS and Planner projects from the new data store

We’re excited to introduce a new standalone application designed to streamline the organization of MPAS and Planner projects in our new central repository. Previously, project data was stored in individual file formats, and sharing projects meant sending around these project files. However, with the move to a central repository, we’ve encountered challenges—such as managing multiple projects within the same folder structure—making it difficult to efficiently organize and locate data.

Our new standalone application solves these issues, making the transition smoother for our users. It provides a centralized view of all projects, displaying key data fields such as project creation and update dates, project names, and more. These fields are filterable, allowing you to quickly locate the project you need.

Additionally, exporting project data is now easier than ever. The new export functionality enables you to back up a project or share it with colleagues, including all relevant support files such as block models and haulage projects, ensuring nothing gets left behind.

A 20% boost in performance

Enhanced speed and efficiency for computation times for large projects

We’ve made significant under-the-hood improvements that have resulted in a 20% increase in performance, particularly when working with large datasets. This means faster loading, saving, and computation times—especially noticeable when importing multiple geometries. Whether you’re managing complex projects or dealing with vast amounts of data, these optimizations ensure smoother and more efficient workflows

MinePlan Project Evaluator 2.2

Run All’ option: Boost efficiency with batch processing

Automate your workflows and save valuable time.

The new ‘Run All’ option in Project Evaluator empowers users to batch process multiple cases efficiently, eliminating the need for manual intervention when running each case individually. This feature significantly enhances productivity by enabling users to set up and execute a series of evaluations in one go. It ensures consistent, timely analysis without the repetitive task of initiating each run separately, allowing for a more streamlined and efficient workflow.
